MyRemind
Reminders that keep notifying until you mark them done, synced across every browser you link.
What it does
- Notifies you 2 minutes before something is due, or whatever lead time you set per reminder.
- Keeps re-notifying every 5 minutes until you actually act on it.
- Done and Snooze are buttons on the notification itself, so you never have to find a tab.
- Repeats daily, on weekdays, on weekends, or on days you choose.

Installing it
This is not in the Chrome Web Store, so it is a manual load. It takes about a minute and you only do it once per browser.
-
Download the zip
Use the button above.
-
Unzip it somewhere permanent
Your Documents folder is fine; your Downloads folder is not. Chrome loads the extension from that folder every time it starts, so if you move or delete it later the extension stops working.
-
Open the extensions page
Copy this into the address bar — Chrome will not let a link take you there.
chrome://extensionsOn Edge it is the same idea:
edge://extensions -
Turn on Developer mode
The toggle is in the top right of that page.
-
Click "Load unpacked" and pick the unzipped folder
Choose the folder itself, the one with
manifest.jsoninside it — not the zip, and not a folder containing it. -
Pin the icon
Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin MyRemind, so you can see the badge counting what is waiting on you.
-
Link it to your account
Create an account or sign in, copy the pairing code you are shown, and paste it into the extension. That is the only thing the extension ever needs — no password goes anywhere near it, and you can unlink any browser later from the Devices page.
What it cannot do
Worth knowing before you rely on it.
- Chrome has to be running. Notifications cannot fire while it is fully closed. Turning on "Continue running background apps when Chrome is closed" in Chrome's settings covers closing the window; a full quit or a reboot does not.
- Do Not Disturb wins. If your operating system is set to Do Not Disturb or Focus Assist, it suppresses these like any other notification.
- On macOS, set Chrome to Alerts. In System Settings → Notifications → Chrome, choose Alerts rather than Banners. Banners disappear on their own after a few seconds, which defeats the entire point of a reminder that is supposed to keep nagging.
